Dr. Sandra Strandberg started Pay It Forward Outreach in 2009 after seeing the need in the Muskegon area for affordable veterinary care. The clinic first opened on Getty Street with Dr. Strandberg, a veterinary technician, and a couple of trained volunteers administering vaccines and basic medical care on a walk-in basis three days a week. The clinic was often overflowing with patients, so when the opportunity arose, the clinic moved to its second location on S. Seaway Drive. We recently moved in May of 2017 to a larger building, located at 1827 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon.
The high demand for our services required the clinic to add more paid staff and volunteers. Our current staff consists of Dr. Strandberg, veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, office staff and volunteers.
We are currently offering vaccinations on a walk-in basis for two hours in the morning, 10a.m. - 12p.m. three days a week. We have dedicated the afternoons and all day Tuesdays to patients with various medical issues on an appointment basis (we are closed on Thursdays at this time). We are constantly evaluating the needs of our clients and making adjustments to better serve them.
